The Art of Mothering: A mini-retreat
Self-care and sustainable support isn't a luxury, but rather a necessity for our well-being. Taking time to replenish our bodies, consciously guide ourselves into relaxation and regulation, and prioritize our interests revitalizes our spirit and enhances our ability to care for others. By investing in our health and happiness, we can sustain our energy, patience, and resilience and continue nurturing others and ourselves from a place of strength and fulfillment.
It takes more than a “spa day” or self-care journal to remain healthy and whole through the marathon of motherhood.

Get Down with Baby: Preparing for Conscious Movement After Birth
Coming Soon
During pregnancy, a woman's body undergoes remarkable changes to support her developing baby. Hormonal shifts lead to increased blood volume, which causes physical changes such as weight gain, breast enlargement, and differences in skin elasticity. The growing uterus expands, exerting pressure on surrounding organs and leading to shifts in posture and alignment. Once the baby is born, it is typical for the mother to turn all of her attention toward caretaking, as she nurtures and attunes to this monumental addition to her life. She may find herself aware of every wriggle and twitch her newborn makes, yet can become out of touch with her own posture and movements. Her body awareness and nervous system have been dramatically shifted in pregnancy and birth, and for most women, this means assuming awkward positions in caring for baby.
In this class, you will practice moving your body safely and consciously while caring for and playing with your baby after birth. We will work on how to properly get up and down from the floor, incorporate yoga and productive stretching into your playtime and caretaking activities, discuss breastfeeding postures, and more. The last 15 minutes will be a sample of our Dancing For Birth™ class to celebrate your pregnancy. This is a movement class so please wear comfortable clothes and bring a yoga mat.
Light snacks provided.

Holistic childbirth education for an informed, empowered, and intuitive birth. This course combines movement practices that encourage embodiment and instinctual action with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate your experience, wherever you choose to give birth.
What does your ideal birth environment look and smell like? Are you sensitive to fluorescent lighting, certain colors, or beeping sounds? What might birth partners feel in their bodies as the birthing person is laboring? The Sensational Birth curriculum is framed around the senses to foster a better understanding of how mammalian birth works and to empower you to advocate for your specific needs. Yes, we cover stages of labor, medical interventions, and birth positions. We also go beyond traditional childbirth education by tuning into the nervous system, addressing often overlooked sensory details, and encouraging self exploration through embodied and artistic practices. In the Sounds of Birth module, for example, we discuss and practice vocalization and partners learn to listen to the birthing person to gauge labor progress. Join us and discover the sensual side of birth, particularly the mysterious “sixth sense” – intuition. This comprehensive course serves not only as birth planning and preparation, but as rehearsal for birth itself. Solo participants welcome, partner/doula attendance encouraged.
